To market to market...

It's that time again! Time for the market tomorrow in Petersburg!



Have you had the chance to come by yet this season?

The market is a great place to find all sorts of goodies and see old friends!

Did I mention how much we love our customers? We wouldn't been here in our 7th season without you!



You have all been so faithful and supportive over the years! We are so grateful to you for that!



And, you even let us take your pictures when you don't want us to...





We appreciate you coming to visit with us each week. We love hearing where our flowers go! Whether it's for a happy occasion or a sad one, we're honored to be a part of your lives!



And, when we ventured out into new things like soap, you continued to support us! Thank you!

Soaping it up in the Slip!

I'm so thrilled that my Coffee Cake Soap Cake is for sale at the Urban Farmhouse Market and Cafe in Shockoe Bottom, Richmond, now! Made with their coffee grounds, this soap is divine! It smells so good and the grounds give it just enough exfoliation!



The Urban Farmhouse is really into supporting local products. Inside there's a vast array of all sorts of items from Virginia made granola bars to dog treats and beyond! If you're looking for a unique goodie or gift, you'll find it here!

And, guess what...they created a special soap display at the front door and my cake is right there when you walk in! I'm so honored! Check it out!



Oh, and I just love the sign they made for the display...



The goal with the special display is to promote all of the handmade bath products they carry!



I can't wait to see how the sales go! They've already ordered two more cakes, so the Midlothian Cafe will have one too! Wow! Be sure to stop by and check it out if you're in the area.

Mountain Bike Monday - The Cranky Monkey

Dynamo and Mariooochee participated in the Cranky Monkey 12 hour race at Quantico Marine Corps Base on Saturday! They were team "Dynamo and the Penguin". How creative huh? They went up Friday night and got their tent all set up. Our friends, Clay and Brett, were on another team! And, our other friends, Dave and John were on another!

Here they are at the start all together!



Bright and early on Saturday they began their 12 hour long team competition. The plan was to do alternating laps with Dynamo starting! You have until 7 p.m. to start your final lap (12 hour race = 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.). The goal is to complete as many laps as you can. This was a single track mountain bike race. The loops were a little over 9 miles each.

When Charlie and I arrived, Dynamo had completed his third lap and was waiting his turn to ride again!



The good part about the two-man team is that while one is riding the other is resting! So, Charlie and his dad rested!



But, not for long as it was time to ride again. The switch-off...

Mountain biking isn't the best spectator sport. You either get a glimpse at the beginning or at the end. Sometimes there are spots along the way to see, but not much!



I got to catch him at the end of the lap coming into the transition area.



It was a pretty warm day on Saturday...



Back at the tent, we visited with Rachel and Clay...



And, Charlie visited with Abigail...



When it was time, we headed to the finish to wait for Marioochee...

It was a fun time with friends! I'm always so proud of my Dynamo (and all the guys) for how hard they work. Even if they don't always win, they work so hard and give it all they've got. It is pretty darn hard to go out and ride like that. Great ride, hun! And, congrats to all the guys for a job well done! You are all winners!

Market Saturday!

Mark your calendars and come out to the Petersburg Market this Saturday from 7 am until noon! We will have lots of soap but no flowers this week! See you there!

Thankful for Dads

Sunday was a lovely day to spend with family. We went to Smithfield and had lunch at the Smithfield Inn.



After lunch we walked around town while the guys held up the bench patiently waiting for ice cream.



It was nice to relax and enjoy the day.



Ice cream is best when shared with those you love.



We are so grateful to our parents. We are so blessed to have loving families.



We only wish Dynamo's parents were closer to be able to see them more.



Thank you, Dad, and Mr. C, for all of your love and support of our marriage. Most of all...thank you for loving us unconditionally.
